"I don't know if we should do this." Flareclaw's voice echoed in Startail's ears. "We have to." murmured Startail, looking around the open stretch of more. Her voice sounded so far away, so unfamiliar, as though it were not hers. "If we don't, these moors will be stained in blood forever." Startail looked down at her paws-black, shadowy paws that shivered in the wind. A ghost. She was a ghost. Flareclaw must have noticed too, for he meowed quietly, "But what good will we do if we are unable to touch?" Startail didn't reply, for something was coming over the rise. It jumped down, followed by a few more. "Halt!" the voice called, racing towards the two StarClan cats. The patrol, 3 warriors and 2 apprentices, stopped in front of them. "What kind of cats are you?" retorted one apprentice, but his mentor silenced him with a glare. "We wish to see your leader." Startail replied calmly. Flareclaw shimmered beside her. The front cat nodded before tilting their head and meowing, "You sound like one of my friend's that died many moons ago." Led into the camp, Startail and Flareclaw padded to the leader. "We wish to speak with you in private." s Flareclaw meowed. (Whoever the WindClan leader is, please reply. Thanks!)

Ooc: Mistystar is leader but I’m unsure of where she is at the moment. I’ll post for you though I’m deputy.
The night was young. Not a single cloud filled the sky tonight, only the lonely moon and it’s only companions, the starts of starpelt. Most cats were readying for night-time sleep, but few remained up and awake. The deputy was among the last clan cats that went to sleep. Dusktalon was named deputy several moons ago. He was a strong and powerful cat among his clan mates. He was well respected by all and even by those who lived in other clans. Dusktalon was known for his bravery and courage, and for these reasons he was next in line fore leader, and he’d stand by Mistystar forever till the end. He wasn’t an ambitious cat, only one who sought what was best for his clan, and that was it.
Dusktalon was sitting on a log after sending out the evening patrol, there was barely any sun left, but the moon and stars lit their path as they walked through the forest. Dusktalon had advised that patrols become more frequent. There was word that Oceanstar had been killed, it wasn’t confirmed for there had been no gathering since the rumour, but it had the deputy wondering. It was a sense that one developed of time. His mentor Lyresong had told him to always be aware of not only what was around you, but what was outside around you. Meaning, he had to look beyond his clan and make sure he was able to know when the other clans were or were not behaving. His clan came first, but things were becoming very questionable with the other clans. The deputy looked around the dying camp, he’d stay till the patrol returned with a report and then he’d sleep once they were settled, or at least that was what he’d normally do. He was waiting for Mistystar to return from her walk. The sound of cats approaching made his gaze flick to the entrance to camp. His dark pelt allowed him to blend in with the shadows of his perch as he watched his patrol and two other… odd cats return.
There was no hostility from his cats, but his attention was on the new comers. They were odd. There was an unusual they were like spirits with a solid form. Dusktalon shivered, where was Mistystar? The cats waited for Mistystar who was not in her den at the moment. The large tom jumped gracefully from the log, and he proceeded to approach the patrol and the strange cats. He was somewhat tense. “I see you’ve brought back visitors…” Dusktalon said in a level tone looking to the two strangers. He met their gazes for a moment before continuing on. “Mistystar will be back momentarily, as Deputy I can hear you out, and report the Mistystar upon her return.” The deputy said calmly. So long as they didn’t disturb the peace of his now sleeping camp, he would tolerate this late night visit. [/size]

I am so sorry this took such a long time for me to reply to! I didn't know I needed to reply to anyone. XD
Startail paused and glanced at Flareclaw. He nodded slowly, and Startail pushed herself closer to the WindClan deputy. "There is... something coming." she began quietly. She had only thought words for WindClan's leader, not deputy. She knew Mistystar well back when she was alive and would instantly believe Startail, but what about this young tom she did not know. "You cannot fight. You must evacuate immediately. Please. I'm begging you. It is a matter of life and death. I truly understand that this is your home, the only place you know and want. But this battle cannot be won. You must gather as much prey as possible and set out along our supervision. My mate and I...." Startail nodded to Flareclaw as she spoke, "will lead your Clan. Please. You must believe us. Something evil is coming and you cannot stop it! We will travel to the rest of the Clans to continue the warning, but WindClan is in much farther danger than all the other Clans." Startail had raised her voice, as though the WindClan deputy had already refused to believe her. Her blue eyes widened and sparkled. "Please. I do not want to see all these cats die." She waved her tail for emphasis of the sleeping Clan.
