Hailfeather wondered if she were going insane. She whipped out of the ShadowClan camp so fast she could have been chasing an intruder. Not even pausing to watch both ways on the Thunderpath, Hailfeather raced across into ShadowClan territory. The subtraction of mud to hold her down made Hailfeather trip repeatedly, but she soon caught on, racing through the forest. Light scents of ThunderClan patrols entered Hailfeather's tongue, but she ignored the smell and raced into the camp. She stumbled and rolled in the dirt and skidding to a stop. Hailfeather felt the burning eyes of the ThunderClan cats as she flew in, but ignored it. Hailfeather sprang up, her neatly padded fur brown with dirt as she scrambled towards the Medicine Cat den. "Icetail!" meowed Hailfeather urgently, slamming into the side of the den. "Icetail!"

Soft winds blew through the leaves in the trees. It was peaceful, or so it appeared at the moment, but the Thunderclan patrol leader knew better. There were four cats in the patrol this time and it was now afternoon. The sun was blazing overhead, lighting the path of the four warriors. The leader’s pelt glowed in the sun light, the sun’s rays making his pelt blaze like fire. It was the true mark of the once great leader Firestar, a legend among the clans. Firestorm was directly descended from his proud ancestor, and proud to be. He was well on the path of following in his great ancestor footsteps. For a few moons now Firestorm had maintained his second in command position and was doing fairly well so far, so he’d been told. The clans seemed to be at peace, but there were rumours going around. Oceanstar had disappeared, and the tom could already smell the blood. Firestorm was no fool and knew something was a foot. There was suddenly a rustle and the sound of hard paws hitting the ground. Immediately Firestorm flicked his tail for silence and to hold still, as the paws pounding on the ground became louder making the air around them tenser.
Suddenly a small cat burst through the tall grass and was pelting towards camp. Firestorm recognized the scent of Shadowclan. He whipped around to his warriors. “Airfire you come with me. You two watch to see if there are any followers.” The tom ordered. With his final words they nodded, and he with Airfire on his tail darted out after the Shadowclan cat. Firestorm wouldn’t let anything slide. He was fast. His muscles rippling under his flame coloured pelt. Many moons of training went into his body to make it the way it was. He then came through the entrance, his clan mates gathering and surrounding the medicine cat den. The crowd parted and Firestorm came through heard the Shadowclan cat yowling for Thunderclan’s medicine cat. Firestorm knew that Icetail wasn’t in at the moment. He approached standing tall, but not too tall. Medicine cats were well respected by the clans. He knew who she was, she was Spottedstorm’s apprentice. “Hailpaw you shouldn’t be here, but what is it you seek? Icetail is not here right now.” Firestorm told the she-cat. [/size]
