The sun was dipping low in the clouded sky. The air was moist and the rolling clouds overhead held the day's showers that sometimes turned into dark storm clouds. Though rain was a possibility it didn't stop the brown tom from climbing the grass covered hill side of the never ending moor where he stood. Muscles rippled under his fur as he gave a leap to a high standing boulder that stood on the hill on it's own, no other rock around it. Standing there on the rock he had a perfect view of the territory his clan occupied. Dusktalon loved the view day or night and this evening was warm because of the moist air. He could sense the rain that was threatening to fall any moment. The large tom was deputy of Windclan. He loved his clan and proved many times over the moons that he would risk everything for his clan, for any individual who needed his aid. Dusktalon watched a wind hurtle up to him sweeping the tall grass one direction, as the wind engulfed him he stood all the more taller to let the cool air cool him off. The wind passed and he stood tall and looked over. The tom wondered if anyone was around. He wasn't exactly the talkative one and was more uptight but he felt good right now. The calm before the storm.

As the dark tom watched a line of dark ominous clouds roll in, a harsh wind whipped around him thrashing his fur around as if it was a warning. The tom could sense the heavy moist air but also a burning feeling that always warned him of danger. Something was coming, coming from somewhere and that his clan was in danger of a long going storm that would bring out the dangers brewing in the darkness. Amber eyes watching, wind thrashing but still Dusktalon stood. It was then a large eagle then past overhead soaring the terrifying winds trying to escape them. The deputy saw this and saw it as a bad omen, he then noted to speak to Mistystar and the medicine cat about it, but for now he would watch dark storms roll in.

Mistystar was looking around calmy for Dusktalon, as she had been for so long, because she could sense (and now see) a storm coming. She then glanced sprinted over to the moor, and found him. "Dusktalon, as a worthy deputy, I know you can sense this storm, am i correct?"

The large tom’s eyes were trained forward as the storm approached. Suddenly the wind blew from behind and it carried a familiar scent. The wind then blew into him again threatening to throw him off his high rock. He turned to see Mistystar coming from behind him. He gave her a friendly smile despite his current thoughts that whirled around him. “I do.” He admitted to his leader. “But the wind carries much more then this storm.” He then stated solemnly as his amber gaze met Mistystar’s. Dusktalon waited for the question to come from the Windclan leader about what he meant. Truth was in some ways he was unsure of the whispering winds meaning, it was usually left to the medicine cat to figure these puzzles out but oddly he received this sign.

Mistystar nodded understandingly, and looked into the sky. "I understand. The winds are trying to say something, and not even I can understand. This is the job for a medicine cat. But what could this mean?" With that, there was nothing else said, and as she walked away, she blushed.

It was then he heard the call of a raven ending in a horrifying note. Dusktalon saw Mistystar off watching her walk back for came. He thought it was odd that his leader would leave so suddenly and thinking of it reminded him of how odd his leader was acting around him or so it seemed. Watching the last of the she-cat disappear over the hillside his sharp eyes narrowed onto the depths of the storm. “I pray that you may give us a sign soon, for a storm bigger than the rain, falls on us with an unkind gaze.” Dusktalon murmured to Starclan. Rain began to fall hitting his muzzle and growing harder as time passed. The deputy let his fur become wet before he was pelting back to camp, each bound bringing him closer to home.

Mistystar sat under the shelter of the Leader's Den, and thought. Dusktalon must notice how odd im acting... what a fool I am.

She then peeked out of the leaders den and saw him. He was soaked. Then she heard the winds whistle, and finally, she thought she knew. "Dusktalon, I've got it! I think I know!"

Wet from the still falling rain the large Windclan deputy entered the camp. Cats were huddled in the dens keeping dry, kits were being shooed into the nursery out of the rain and two young apprentices were play fighting in the rain. “Harepaw! Graypaw!(random) Get to your den and clean up!” He ordered lightly sending the two apprentices to the apprentice den. Mistystar’s voice the came to him through the rain making him turn. He paused before paddling over to the leaders den still wet. “You do?” He asked taking the far side of the entrance and shaking his fur, relieving himself of the cold wet rain, well most of it. He then licked his fur down a bit trying to clean up before talking with his leader.

"I think it's a message from Starclan. Something is happening." She looks up into the sky, and stares at one particular thing... "Rouges."

Dusktalon cleaned up before she spoke again sitting beside her to see what she was looking at. Rain was falling hard but being just inside the leader’s den there was warmth there. He then nodded at her suggestion of the problem they were going to face. It really seemed that way, the storm, and the rain almost as if Starclan was weeping with the warning of danger. It was times like these where Dusktalon wished he could speak to Starclan, ask about this approaching danger, and maybe even find a way to protect everyone from it. However, he was the deputy of his great clan, and he would do every thing in his power to ensure the safety of Windclan. “It appears that way. We’ll be ready though, I’ll see to that the borders are watched more closely.” Dusktalon rumbled confidence ringing in his voice. He then turned to the she-cat, his amber eyes watching her for a moment. He was bigger than her a bit but at the same time he didn’t have to look down too much. “You should rest. We have the gathering to attend to tomorrow. Maybe then we can see if anyone else knows anything about these rouges that possible might be threatening the clans.” Dusktalon adviced.

"Your right. I should rest. But you should too." She said, pointing out how each and every cat walked into their den for a good nights sleep. She nodded and smiled, then turned around and headed for the leaders den.

Dusktalon saw something in Mistystar’s eyes that drew his attention for a moment. He saw some kind of strong emotion burn in her eyes. Blinking he stopped himself from staring, and watch the Windclan leader wander off into the depths of the den where she spend her nights in warmth. Dusktalon watched till he was sure she was comfortable before turning back to see the last cat enter the warriors den. He was the only one left awake, alone with the rain falling before his paws. The Windclan deputy stood there watching and thinking till the rain slowed momentarily and allowed him a less wet path to his den with the other warriors. Stepping out into the light rain he felt a wash of sudden peace come to him. Crossing the clearing leaving Mistystar to sleep he entered the warriors den and curled up in his nest by the entrance where he watched drops of rain fall harder again until sleep finally came over him.
